Home to the global cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE)’s population of around 10 million people encompasses at least 81% of them to be foreign nationals. Coming from various parts of the world, the UAE’s economic growth has attracted people seeking opportunities for themselves and their families, as well to contribute in their own way to the country’s impressive economic growth. See a short top 10 (by population) of the largest expatriates living in the UAE.
NOTE: The UAE does not publish a breakdown of various nationalities, so these figures are estimates from various online sources, which mainly are derived from their respective embassies.
FUN FACT: Although not making it on the top 10 list, there are 50,000 American citizens in the UAE, around 40,000 Canadian citizens and at least 120,000 British citizens.
